In my personal and professional work as an educator and coach, I deal with communication and connection. Storytelling allows me to explore both but it helps me to place the emphasis on connection. When working with people’s personal stories, storytelling helps us understand what it is we want to communicate to create meaningful connections. It does it in a language that is universal and simple and that we understand instinctively as humans.

My personal mission is to help people connect to themselves and from that home within themselves, connect with others, om mensen te verbinden door verbondenheid.

Through The Cabinet of curiosities,  the project I started during my journey towards becoming Chief Storyteller, I become a midwife to people’s stories and this in turn allows them to explore who they are, how they interact with the world and how to connect to their wholehearted desire, their bliss.

A short description of the graduation project

The Cabinet of Curiosities is a tool for summoning our personal stories and for considering the relationship of these stories to our dominant narratives. By remembering and curating our stories we remember ourselves and we allow our stories to work on us. It is a process, that like our consciousness, is ever-changing and infinite, steadily brining us closer to that home  within ourselves.
